Go Say Hi to God!

"If we but paused for a moment to consider attentively what takes place in this Sacrament, I am sure that the thought of Christ's love for us would transform the coldness of our hearts into a fire of love and gratitude."
- St. Angela of Foligno
With the sun coming out and spring almost upon us (at least here in Canada), I realized I could finally start doing something I love to do - walk to my local church to visit the Blessed Sacrament. So many Catholics these days don't think to go into a church and greet the King of kings. Visits to the Blessed Sacrament are so vital to our souls, because it refreshes us with grace, and reminds us what's important in life. With all the different things on our plates, it's good to sit back sometimes and organize our thoughts in front of God. After all, we need time to just relax and recuperate - and who better to do that with than Our Lord Himself!

Now keep in mind that you don't have to be sitting in your local church for five hours while kneeling on concrete with your arms outstretched. Just a few minutes, or if you're in a rush, a few moments just to say hello. Even just a hello is infinitely precious to your soul. God will reward you a hundred fold for coming to His home and asking for His help for the days to come. And if you're bored out of your mind (and still trying your best), all the more merit for you! The driest prayers are the most meritorious, since Our Lord appreciates such effort, even if we can't feel anything.

So go to your local church, and say hello to Our Blessed Lord. He's waiting for you!
